What to Know

1. List the indications, contraindications, and limitations of CUS in pediatric emergencies.
2. Identify clinically relevant sonographic anatomy of the pediatric pylorus, bowel, appendix, hip and other areas.
3. Preform the required sonographic protocols with appropriate consideration to the needs of the pediatric patient and care givers.
4. Recognize common findings and pitfalls of pediatric CUS ultrasound for pyloric stenosis, intussusception, appendicitis, hip effusions and other emergencies.
